EMERGE: an embodied writing workshop series
how it works:
1. movement
we begin with breath-work to settle and ease into movement. the movement is gentle and guided. you are sitting. your eyes are closed. it is private and personal. we draw on the wisdom of the body and free up any tightness in the mind.
2. writing
we write for 15 minutes using prompts gathered from poems. prompts become safe spaces to land and return to. we write quickly without editing or polishing. this isn’t about being a writer. it’s about writing the words that are yours.
3. revelation
we read our writing aloud into a quiet space of love and support. there is no feedback offered or context necessary. when we give voice to that which is inside, insight and truth emerge. we live differently when we write from the body and share from the soul.
4. connection
we will have 30 extra minutes to connect in conversation for those wanting to know each other in a more casual, yet intimate way.
